Verify your student email
Enter your @st.knust.edu.gh address and type in the code we email you. That's how we keep The Yard students-only.

Build your profile
Add a photo, your hall or hostel area, your college, level and a few things you're into. A moderator checks every photo before anyone else sees it.

Match, chat, then meet
Like people you want to meet. If they like you back, it's a match and you can chat. Meet somewhere public on campus when you're ready.

Safety
Meet smart
You can report or block anyone from their profile or your chat. Reports go to our moderation team, and the person is never told who reported them.
- Meet in public, in daylightThe library, a café or a busy hall event works well for a first meet. Skip rooms and quiet spots until you know each other.
- Tell your roommate where you're goingShare who you're meeting and when you expect to be back.
- Keep chatting in The Yard firstShare your number or socials only when you're comfortable.
- Never send money or MoMoIf a match asks for money, airtime or MoMo, it's a scam. Report them.

Questions
Who can join The Yard?
Any KNUST student who is 18 or older and has a working @st.knust.edu.gh email. Undergraduates and postgraduates are both welcome.
Is it free?
Yes. Everything is free while we launch on campus.
Why can't other people see my photo yet?
Every new photo waits for a quick check by a moderator. Until it's approved, other students see your initial instead.
Can people from other halls see me?
Yes. By default you see, and are seen by, students across all of KNUST. Anyone can use filters to focus on a hall, college or level.
Can I hide my profile for a while?
Switch on exam mode in your profile settings. You disappear from Discover until you switch it off, and your matches and chats stay.
Who sees my student email?
No other student. We only use it to confirm you're a KNUST student and to send your sign-in codes. Other people see your first name, age, programme, level, college and hall.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Profile, then Delete my account. Your profile, photos, matches and messages are removed.
